P90X Motivation - Day 6 - Kenpo X

Day 6 - Kenpo X is the sixth workout in the P90X system.

This workout is not only effective, but it is also fun. Kenpo is a highly intense cardio workout routine that will have you throwing punches, kicks, knees, elbows and forearms, this workout seriously kicks butt. The word Kenpo actually means, “law of the fist,” how cool is that, you’ll learn how to defend yourself, while at the same time getting one crazy of a total body cardio workout.

P90X Motivation - Day 5 - Legs & Back

P90x Day 5 and I am really starting to have a tough time. I do all of my workouts in the evenings because I sleep during the day to work at night. I was able to do a few more pullups today than I was on Day 1, so I hope that means I am getting stronger. Lets see how having the weekend to recover helps for Monday's Chest & Back workout.

Im finding the diet part of the program to be the most challenging part. I am still taking in too much Sodium. I think sodium makes you retain water. But I just find myself being so much more huingry lately. I know its because I am burning so many more calories, but its a hard thing to battle. I guess we will see how things go as I travel along.

P90X Day 4

I finally started the P90X program and am now on Day 4. For those who have done this or are doing it, you know what I mean when I say it is grueling. But I do feel like I have more energy throughout the day. Hopefully it wont be long before I start to see results. There are other blogs as well that can be very useful at http://www.blogcatalog.com/directory/personal/fitness. Good luck to all.

P90X Motivation

I recently bought the P90X videos and popped it in for my 'Day 1' workout. Oh Man was I not prepared for what I was going to do. The next day I couldn't move. So needless to say I sat on the couch for a week or so until I could move again and put the workout on the shelf.

Since then I have slowly worked myself into a little better shape and have gotten to the point where I would like to try it again. Since it is now January 1, 2008, I thought this would be a good starting line for my journey.

If anyone is out there that would like to join me with P90X, please do. We can compare notes with our fatigue, progress, and also keep each other motivated. I will check back in periodically with my progress, and may even post some pictures.
